Level Design

In almost all of my projects, I took care of either part or the entirety of the level design.                       Talked about here:

Date Night

VR game where the player moves around in a wheelchair

Final project of 1st year :
- 1 Game Designer / 1 Game Artist / 1 Ergonomist / 2 Programmers
- 4 months
- Complete game that can be finished in 15 min

Preparatory work on Miro

I did all of the level design work, with advices from the educational crew.
That is : Floor plans, assets location, areas of special interactions, integration, testing

Integration in Unity

As I was also in charge of the game design, I balanced the difficulty along with our ergonomist depending
on the speed of the wheelchair and complexity of the AI behavior.

In-game view

Along with our game artist, I did 90% of the level art and communicated with her on what assets were needed.
And finally, I placed the lights and integrated the item interactions with the help of our second programmer.

I also worked on real life propositions, like a tutorial in a wheelchair, to get the basic movements and sensations before playing.

Date Night got selected as part of the Laval Virtual Student Projects in 2023.

Slide Bros

PC - 2 Players co-op - Bobsleigh racing game

Made in 5 days as part of an assignment :
- Racing game
- 2 players co-op or competition
- Assigned teams

Preparatory work on paper

I was in charge of both the 3Cs and the full level design creation (preparatory work + integration)
Our programmer created a tool in Houdini that allowed me to create and bend the track directly in Unity.
I then placed the obstacles that our 3D artist created.

View in-game

I iterated a few times to get a better gamefeel in the turns and a better obstacle placement.

Miscellaneous

I also enjoy making maps on Fall Guys in my spare time!

This is Pillow Mountain
I wanted to make a stage based on verticality.

Bonus

I like when things are tidy ❤️️
